President Barack Obama will make two campaign stops today in Hampton Roads as part of his re-election bid.
Obama's first stop will be Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, which is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. He will then go to Phoebus High School in Hampton, where he is scheduled to speak at 4:25 p.m. Those who are touring with the president include Sen. Mark Warner (D) and Democratic candidate for Senate and former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine.

UPDATE 3:08 p.m.: Waiting for Obama at Langley Air Force Base
A small contingent of Air Force personnel and media are waiting for Obama on the Langley Air Force Base tarmac. The sky is clear except for a lone Coast Guard helicopter that has been circling overheard.

UPDATE 12:42 p.m.: At Green Run High School in Virginia Beach
The president's motorcade wound along some residential streets to Green Run High School, home of the Stallions. The streets were largely lined with people cheering.
At the high school, Obama addressed an overflow crowd of about 300 gathered in the "Stallion Cafe."
He won in 2008 because of their efforts, Obama told them, and he needs them now even more. "This is going to be a close one. We're going to have to work hard ... When we win Virginia, we're going to have won the election."
UPDATE: 12:08 p.m. Lunch stop
The president stopped at Rick's Cafe, a couple of miles from the Oceana Naval Air Station, and sat down to drink ice water and chat with some military wives.
They sat at a six-top, two tables pulled together -- Obama, Kaine, Warner and three women in capris and sandals.
"Prior to this administration, you never heard about military families," said Jennifer Farlin, who sat to the president's left. She cited the Obamas' Joining Forces program. "It makes me feel very supported."
"I love the fact that this administration is focusing more on military families. Prior to this," she said, "we felt lost."
Sometimes employers don't want to hire military families, Farlin said.
"Companies a lot of the time are more than happy to help," said Obama, mentioning the programs that give help to military families, like giving discounts and memberships to them.
"But they haven't been asked, and there's not a structure for it," the president said.
Farlin said she'd used the Disney discount.
She said she is from Detroit, prompting a Bears vs. Lions joke on the president's part.
